Action Packed Boat Shoot for a Magazine
The Goal
Viscape 360's past client and friend, the Tactical Custom Boats team, came to us with an exciting PR concept. In collaboration with Power and Motoryacht Magazine, we planned to execute and showcase the BC boater's 'perfect trifecta', featuring fishing (catch and release), golfing, and downhill skiing around the lower mainland and surrounding islands. Pulling this off in a single day would showcase not only the incredible sporting diversity offered by Canada's west coast, but also the capability of Tactical's top-of-the-line A-44 TANK, a rugged 44ft aluminum hulled vessel.
The Process
This was far and beyond the most interesting and fast paced production day we've had. The duration alone was intense (over 12 hours), but throw in the transitions from sea level to mountain top, shooting on a speeding boat, a pub, a golf course, a skating rink, and a ski hill, and we had our work cut out for us.
The Result
Viscape 360 quickly turned around a series of content for Tactical Custom Boats' and Power and Motoryacht Magazine's print and digital publications, including 100 edited drone and standard still photos, an action packed 8m 30s 4K video edited for YouTube (including custom thumbnail design), and a secondary video subtitled and edited for Instagram Reels. The photos were featured across a multi-page article in PMY Magazine's June/July 2022 issue.
